Generally I enjoy these kind of flavors of sickfic:
- Gentle H/C where sick character gets lots of love and care and can be vulnerable (especially if its a stoic character getting the love and care they need). I just want them to be miserable and weak but also have people nearby who care
- Sickfic comedy where the character being sick is a catalyst for shenanigans (Think the classic Nurse Venus episode from Sailor Moon). Doubly so if the sick character is the designated braincell keeper.
- Horror/Unsettling undertones as sick character has to grapple with their perceptions with reality (ex, hallucinations, limited/curated information flow of what's happening outside their sickbed/room, caretakers with an agenda...)

Pei Xiu is my sopping wet poor little meow meow and I think he should suffer (affectionate). But I also just generally love his interactions with Banyue & Pei Ming and would love to read anything with two or all of them, whether he's the sick one or the one in the caretaker role.

Currently reading Mo Du and enjoying it a lot, especially thanks to Justice in the Dark! This game has consumed my like for the past month! I love the premise, the structure, and especially the characters and their dynamics! I would generally love something that captures that group dynamic but for individual pairings, I love Eito and his entire unhingedness, Hiruko and her quiet determination and hidden softness, Takemaru the good-est delinquent ever, and the Tsukumo twins and their codependecies. But really, all of the characters are so so good!

Second Doctor/Jamie: I just love the Second Doctor's and Jamie's relationship so much! I'm here for a romantic relationship or a queerplatonic relationship (or even an undefined, important relationship). Also, I love when Jamie tries to show off as this big strong Highlander who is afraid of no man and that ends up backfiring (think not managing to open the Cybermen tomb, or insisting that he won't be cold in the Himalayas and then complaining of the cold, which might work well with pretending he can't get sick/being in denial about being sick).

Third Doctor/Alistair: I think they're very sweet! The Doctor clearly learns to respect the Brigadier in time, and as exasperated as the Brigadier can be with him, he can also be so fond of the Doctor. One of my favourite moments for them is when the Brigadier scolds his scientist for doubting the Doctor's plan, saying of course it's going to work if the Doctor said so, and then turning to the Doctor to ask if it's really going to work. Also, when the Doctor took him to that show with the comic and dancers and the psychic, that had such a date night vibe! I also feel like the Brigadier wouldn't want to admit that he's sick, or maybe he feels as though he can't show any weakness except if they're alone?

- i love the idea of leona being sensitive to certain foods and noises. one of the reasons he has a tendency to skip classes so much is because the intensity of the noise drives him to the edge of nausea and vertigo
- i also adore the idea of leona showing slight animal like tendencies when he gets sick. like when he's in pain he mewls, and he absolutely hates anyone ever laying eyes on him in that state when he's purring and whimpering. he'll curl up and ignore everyone around him to the best of his abilities. his senses get far more heightened which becomes an issue all on its own

- leona sick at home is another entertaining scene... especially if falena is there. his complex over his brother would force him to hide his condition even though there would be people here better equipped to help him than back in college. he'll close himself off and try to suffer through it even though his brother has always been good at taking care of him when they were kids
- leona and malleus' rivalry is another beautiful thing. leona hiding his pain from malleus and trying to keep from collapsing but malleus knowing it all along and playing along to see how long leona lasts? beautiful. it would also be very amusing to have malleus intentionally do something to keep leona sick, just so that leona could be dependant on him and show off his vulnerable side with no control

- enkidu is such a beauty that even canon couldn't resist putting him through the wringer. it would be so heartbreaking to read through the beginning of the days when enkidu's downfall begins to settle in. intense, agonizing pain which starts randomly with an fever and parts of his skin breaking and peeling off and nothing they're given, nothing she does makes the agony any better

- enkidu believes they'll die and it breaks gilgamesh with the first strains of helplessness because there's nothing he can do to help the one person he loves in the whole world
- i would prefer a happy ending though - maybe this time they're able to get the herb to enkidu and they survive. the damage is lasting though and enkidu still has intense episodes of pain and agony but it comes with the knowledge that at the end of the next few hours enkidu will feel better and above all, she won't leave gilgamesh. they'll always be there

- soo-won's crimson sickness is something i adore more than anything. its the one thing which swiveled his character from a villain to a humane character with errors but lovable all the same. i love how you can see the way soo-won wears down during each episode of his and holds on until the moment he's alone to collapse entirely, revealing just how bad the pain was all along
- i love the imagery of soo-won having means to hide how bad the pain is. he puts nails in his shoes so that his brain interprets the pain in his foot instead, distracting himself from the pain in his head. he draws himself into mantras to ensure that he isn't breathing too fast or too slow, that he's still conscious
- i also love the imagery of him desperately trying to get to the privacy of his chambers. its intense pain, and people all around and he CANNOT lose in this moment
- i feel like it would also be very interesting to see how the bond between hak and soo-won would have changed if soo-won's illness had already started showing before he chose to kill king il. he probably would have had a very hard time hiding his illness from hak given that they spent almost all their time together

Michelle and Isaac <3 it's so obvious how deeply they care for each other even if we don't get much of their relationship in the book. I think it could be fun to explore a few what-ifs, or maybe some pre-novel things. Getting together, fluff, angst, I'm here for it all!

There's obviously the potential for sickfic from what that they had on Rorschach (maybe Theseus couldn't heal something), or even just plain normal stuff that they have to deal with. Gwen and Alice are so frenemies to lovers in my eyes, but other characterizations are welcome! I love the way that Alice messes with Gwen, but also seems to care at least a little when things start to go wrong for her. I love the idea of Gwen overworking herself, especially with new responsibilities, and then Alice has to care for her, or that Alice is worried about Sam and keeps staying late and Gwen doesn't realize until she's passed out at the computer.

The idea of them softening when realizing the other has a chronic or terminal illness, only to go right back to teasing each other to keep things "normal" is also something of a favorite of mine.

UGH love these two so much. I'm going to talk through the scenarios I've tagged because I procrastinated a little and then got indecisive when it came to illness/symptom tags, but you can include pretty much any (non-sexual-related) symptom/illness in here and I'd probably be delighted because (as mentioned) I love these two so much!

Calling Character's name while sick and asleep - Could work for either of them, especially before they get involved. Sure, it's cool when you're friends with someone, but when that someone wants you, specifically when they're sick? Things can get a little deeper. Also works for AUs, any time in their relationship even post-show. How would they feel knowing that their partner is ill and they can't do anything to make them feel better?
Character A ingests a poison meant for Character B - Again, could work for either of them. A slightly angsty fight over who should've been poisoned? Guilt over putting their partner in danger? A rush to find the antidote, then finding that it's tucked behind some kind of obstacle/situation that the poisoned partner would be perfect for? *chef's kiss*
Realizing Character is sick because of how hot their hand is - This could work really well with Sebacean heat delirium, maybe they're somewhere where it doesn't seem like it would be hot and things slowly get worse, or maybe Aeryn is extremely temperature sensitive so she realizes John's sick before he even starts feeling ill.
